Advantages and Disadvantages of Renting a Hanoi Apartment

Living in a rented property comes with lots of benefits, but there are some disadvantages as well. This is the reason why people often face confusion when they are required to choose between a rented apartment and an owned house. They cannot understand which one will be good for them. While selecting the right accommodation, you need to consider a few factors, such as, your budget, duration of your living in that particular city, your profession, etc.

Advantages:
1. Renting an apartment is always less expensive than buying one. So if you have the limited budget for your accommodation or do not want to spend much money for that at present, then looking for a rented property will be best.
2. If you are in a profession where relocation is very often then buying your own house or apartment is not for you. You should opt for a suitable Hanoi apartment for rent so that you could change it or leave anytime you need.
3. You do not need to take any kind of responsibility for the property, just a monthly rent, maybe a maintenance charge and your duty are done.

Disadvantages:
1. You will be bound to give a monthly rent, which may seem a burden for you if you unfortunately lose your job or are going through a financial crisis.

2. Many landlords rent out their properties with lots of DO’S and DON’TS. In such cases you may not be allowed to do many things that you would normally love to do in your home, such as, listening music at high volumes or having a late night party on the roof.

3. You will not be allowed to do any kind of moderation or renovation inside the Hanoi apartment as per your need. For example, you may need to have a nail on the wall to hang your photographs, but your landlord may not allow this.

So renting an apartment comes with both benefits and drawbacks. You should consider all these points before you take any final decision.
